Kim, Hillary, Shanae, Nate, Lily, Crew, Kali, Mason, Jocelyn and I all went for a hike the other day! We hiked to the
Light House out by Waimanalo. It was amazingly beautiful and full of the best company a girl could ask for.
Before we got started, the girls got out the umbrellas to "make sure they were in working condition" while we packed the strollers and got all set to go.
For some reason, the umbrellas brought for possible rain, were much more fun to play with in the wind.
Unfortunately, the wind was a little stronger than the girls...
...and one of the umbrellas escaped...
Shanae was awesome though and chased down the runaway umbrella! She is
FAST!
Nate, Krew, and Jocelyn were all extremely interested in all of this umbrella action...in fact we had to do everything in our power to convince the boys that they did
NOT need to play with the umbrellas like the girls!
After getting ready to make our way, re-capturing the umbrellas, putting
AWAY the umbrellas, packing the strollers and making sure we all had enough water, we began our expedition! It was SO much fun, every minute.
I couldn't believe how much energy these two had the whole way. They were amazing. We adults kept wishing we were getting an equivalent
workout!
The view was incredible. I kept thinking about how much Ryan would have loved to take a
MILLION pictures of the scenery.
After a while of walking, we stopped to smell the roses...or look at the waves off of this enormous cliff. (I was so scared that one of the kids would blow right away--but luckily we left with 100% of the people we started with!)
I was so happy that Krew was
SMILING while I was holding him! He is such a great kid. So
CUTE!
Kim is so gorgeous. She is holding
Mason here, her youngest of three cuties!
Arrival at the
Lighthouse...
Shanae, Kali and Krew
Me with Kali and Lily, we told them to do their
BIGGEST smiles.
Krew is so adorable, and Shanae has to be one of
THE FUNNEST moms in the world. She and Krew were laughing so hard here. I loved it.
Live Aloha, right ladies?
On our way back down from the lighthouse, a guy was walking up and passed us all. He loudly implored,
"What's with all the babies?" We just laughed and laughed. It was fun to have everyone there together. We should have given him the simplest explanation..."We are Mormons" and then he would have understood completely! I love kids and
I love THESE kids. It was such a blast the whole day. Hillary, Kim and Shanae kept saying things like "life is just so different with kids" or "sorry we are going slower" or "we could have been done by now if we didn't have the kids with us". I think they were worried about me (what nice friends) because I don't have any little ones of my own yet, but I hope they know that I meant it every time I said that I was enjoying every second. Life is so much fun when you have loved ones to share it with! I love you guys!
Aloha and Mahalo!GIRLS, I HAVE TO TELL YOU ALL THAT I HAD SUCH A GREAT DAY WITH YOU ON THIS HIKE. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE. THANKS FOR THE FUN, EXERCISE, COMPANY, AND GREAT MEMORIES!
