Dixie Vs. BYU-Hawaii

On February 2, 2009 the Dixie Basketball team came to Laie to challenge our boys basketball team. It was a great night. The game was intense and the Seasiders prevailed! We were really excited to see our great friend Kimball Payne. He is playing basketball for Dixie right now and awaiting his mission call. We were so proud of him and how well he is doing.
Last summer when Ryan and I (and Lacey and our Moms) went on Heritage Tours, Ry and I were chaperones and I was over the family that Kimball was the "family father" for, so he and I got to work together a lot. I really got to know him better. He is a great guy and he will make a fabulous missionary! Good Luck Kimball!!!

Studious Students

Ryan and Cory are such great students. I am proud of them for working so hard. I come home to this vision in my living room so much, they are constantly studying, books all around, and knowledge seeping into their brains so fast. It is fun to see them work so hard at their grades and school. What great men they are!
They weren't even posing for this picture either. They barely looked up when I came home, that is how in the flow they were!

Shhh...Quiet Hours...

One night we were watching a movie and all of a sudden we looked out the window and what did we see...? It was fireworks working in the night time sky! We were pleasantly surprised with a fabulous display of pyrotechnics. Apparently the Polynesian Cultural Center was having a celebration and someone had sponsored a magnificent show for us. It was so fun to just walk out our front door and see such a neat thing right in our front yard.
Thanks PCC!

Concerts

Ryan sings in the Brigham Young University Hawaii Concert Choir. He is so amazing. I am so proud of him every time I get to see him sing with all of his heart up on stage with the incredible choir.
Recently the choir held a concert for all of the best high school choir members around! They came to Laie and learned from the best of the best. Brother Belnap is Ryan's Choir Director and I don't know if there is a better man for the job. Brother Belnap is one of the best men alive. He is really good to Ryan and to everyone he knows. Ryan does such a great job singing in the choir. I am so proud of him.
